Status: Ongoing
Continuing research on Cambrian trilobite biostratigraphic correlation and sedimentology of the Stephen Formation in the southern Canadian Rocky Mountains to constrain the timing and palaeoenvironment of this unit. This research is investigating how conditions interpreted from the rock record may have aided in the development of the adjacent Burgess Shale and how the Stephen Formation correlates into the continental Cambrian margin from Mexico to the Arctic Ocean.
