Rita Koeller is an Assistant Professor in the School of Business and Leadership at Yukon University in Whitehorse, Yukon. She teaches courses in Human Resources, Leadership, and Communications within the Bachelor of Business Administration program, where she engages students with her applied, interactive, and learner-centered approach. Rita also holds the Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation (CPHR), demonstrating her recognized expertise in the HR profession.

Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Rita holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Since relocating to the Yukon in 2007, she has brought over 15 years of human resources experience into the classroom, enriching her instruction with real-world insights and applied knowledge.

Rita’s research focuses on the development of northern-based case studies that reflect the unique social, economic, and organizational realities of the Yukon. Her work aims to empower students learning by bridging academic theory with real-world experiences and practices.
