“Two-eyed seeing:” Carcross tries on-the-land science class

Below is a 2-minute introduction to our collaborative Carcross/Tagish First Nation and Yukon University land-based English 030/050 course that ran at the Crag Lake Farm in May 2021. Teachers and coordinators included Elder Norman James, Elder/retired nurse Jean Desmarais, Colleen James, Gisela Niedermeyer, and Frances Ross-Furlong. This short film was the introduction to our final student performances of their creative writing at our community celebration on the shores of Bennett Lake.
