Liz (Elizabeth) Berg is a Registered Nurse, mother, and graduate student at Trinity Western University, where she is completing a Master of Science in Nursing with a leadership focus. She makes her home in the Yukon, where the rhythms of northern life shape both her perspective and her practice.
Liz works with Yukon University, where she contributes to teaching, mentorship, and community health initiatives that centre northern and Indigenous-led approaches to wellness. Her role allows her to bridge academic learning with community-based action, supporting collaborative projects that strengthen health education and leadership in the North.
She has worked across perinatal and acute care in northern, rural, and urban hospitals, and now carries those experiences into education and relationship-based practice. What drives her work is a belief that health and healing must begin by meeting people where they are. She brings the lens of both a nurse and a mother, holding the understanding that wellness is not only clinical, but relational, cultural, and generational.
Liz cares deeply about creating spaces where voices that have been overlooked are heard, and where systems are reshaped to reflect equity, connection, and belonging. She believes in bringing compassion and leadership to her work, and strives to creates space where others feel valued and seen.
