Catherine is registered nurse, and worked in paediatric acute care for many years.

She came to the Yukon to work on the Paediatric unit at Whitehorse General Hospital in 1994. Like many Yukoners, she came for a three month term and year after year forgot to leave.

Catherine began her time at Yukon College as a sessional in the First Nation Home and Community Care Program in 2002, and continued as a sessional in HEHS programs. She became the full-time Instructor/Coordinator of the practical nurse program in 2012, and Chair of HEHS in 2017.

Catherine completed a MEd through Simon Fraser University in 2014, with a research project on the efficacy of the PN program in preparing graduates to enter practice.
